1. Decides to establish an Ad Hoc Committee open to all Member States to elaborate an international convention dealing with the safety and security of United Nations and associated personnel, with particular reference to responsibility for attacks on such personnel;
١ - تقرر إنشاء لجنة مخصصة مفتوحة لجميع الدول اﻷعضاء ﻹعداد اتفاقية دولية بشأن سلامة وأمن موظفي اﻷمم المتحدة واﻷفراد المرتبطين بها، مع الاشارة فيها بوجه خاص إلى المسؤولية عن الاعتداءات التي يتعرض لها هؤلاء الموظفون واﻷفراد؛

5. Elaboration, pursuant to paragraph 1 of General Assembly resolution 48/37 of 9 December 1993, of an international convention dealing with the safety and security of United Nations and associated personnel, with particular reference to responsibility for attacks on such personnel.
٥ - القيام، عملا بالفقرة ١ من قرار الجمعية العامة ٤٨/٣٧ المؤرخ ٩ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٣، بإعداد اتفاقية دولية تتناول سلامة وأمن موظفي اﻷمم المتحدة واﻷفراد المرتبطين بها، مع الاهتمام بوجه خاص بالمسؤولية عن الاعتداءات التي يتعرض لها هؤلاء الموظفون واﻷفراد.

8. As noted above, the General Assembly by its resolution 48/37 asked the Ad Hoc Committee to elaborate an international convention dealing with the safety and security of United Nations and associated personnel, with particular reference to responsibility for attacks on such personnel.
٨ - كما ذكر أعلاه، طلبت الجمعية العامة في قرارها ٤٨/٣٧ من اللجنة المخصصة إعداد اتفاقية دولية بشأن سلامة وأمن موظفي اﻷمم المتحدة واﻷفراد المرتبطين بها، مع اﻹشارة فيها بوجه خاص الى المسؤولية عن الاعتداءات التي يتعرض لها هؤلاء الموظفون واﻷفراد.

The General Assembly decided, on the recommendation of the Sixth Committee, to establish an ad hoc committee to elaborate an international convention dealing with the safety and security of United Nations and associated personnel, with particular reference to responsibility for attacks on such personnel (resolution 48/37 of 9 December 1993).
١٨٤ - وقررت الجمعية العامة، بناء على توصية اللجنة السادسة، إنشاء لجنة مخصصة ﻹعداد اتفاقية دولية تتناول سلامة وأمن موظفي اﻷمم المتحدة واﻷفراد المرتبطين بها، مع الاشارة فيها بوجه خاص الى المسؤولية عن الاعتداءات التي يتعرض لها هؤلاء الموظفون )القرار ٤٨/٣٧ المؤرخ ٩ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٣(.

19. Representatives underscored the importance of the task entrusted to the Ad Hoc Committee and expressed their appreciation to the delegations of New Zealand and Ukraine for having produced a joint text (A/AC.242/L.2 and Corr.1 (English only)) dealing with the safety and security of United Nations and associated personnel, with particular reference to responsibility for attacks on such personnel.
١٩ - وشدد الممثلون على حيوية المهمة المناطة باللجنة المخصصة وأعربوا عن تقديرهم لوفدي نيوزيلندا وأوكرانيا ﻹصدارهما نصا مشتركا )A/AC.242/L.2( يتناول سلامة وأمن موظفي اﻷمم المتحدة واﻷفراد المرتبطين بها، مع الاهتمام بوجه خاص بالمسؤولية عن الاعتداءات التي يتعرض لها هؤلاء الموظفون واﻷفراد.

9. Welcomes the decision of the General Assembly, contained in its resolution 48/37 of 9 December 1993, to establish an ad hoc committee to elaborate an international convention dealing with the safety and security of United Nations and associated personnel, with particular reference to responsibility for attacks on such personnel, and considers that the timely elaboration of such a convention will contribute to the improvement of the situation;
٩- ترحب بما قررته الجمعية العامة في قرارها ٤٨/٣٧ المؤرخ في ٩ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٣ من إنشاء لجنة مخصصة ﻹعداد اتفاقية دولية بشأن سلامة وأمن موظفي اﻷمم المتحدة واﻷفراد المرتبطين بها، مع الاشارة فيها بوجه خاص إلى المسؤولية عن الاعتداءات التي يتعرض لها هؤلاء الموظفون واﻷفراد، وترى أن إعداد هذه الاتفاقية في الوقت المناسب من شأنه أن يسهم في تحسين الحالة؛

The General Assembly, in its resolution 48/37 of 9 December 1993, decided to establish an Ad Hoc Committee to elaborate an international convention dealing with the safety and security of United Nations and associated personnel, with particular reference to responsibility for attacks on such personnel, and requested the Ad Hoc Committee to report to the Assembly at its forty-ninth session.
وقد قررت الجمعية العامة، في قرارها ٤٨/٣٧ المؤرخ ٩ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٣، إنشاء لجنة مخصصة ﻹعداد اتفاقية دولية تتناول سلامة وأمن موظفي اﻷمم المتحدة واﻷفراد المرتبطين بها، مع اﻹشارة فيها بوجه خاص إلى المسؤولية عن الاعتداءات التي يتعرض لها هؤلاء الموظفون واﻷفراد، وطلبت إلى اللجنة المخصصة أن تقدم تقريرا إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها التاسعة واﻷربعين.
