9. With regard to the report of the Secretary-General on traditional or customary practices affecting the health of women and girls, the Indian Government was happy to state that many of the recommendations contained therein had already been institutionalized in India.
٩ - وأردفت قائلة إنه فيما يتعلق بتقرير اﻷمين العام عن الممارسات التقليدية أو العرفية التي تؤثر في صحة النساء والفتيات، يسر الحكومة الهندية أن تؤكد أن كثيرا من التوصيات الواردة فيه قد جرى إضفاء الصبغة المؤسسية عليها في الهند.

51. Ms. Noman (Yemen), referring to the report of the Secretary-General on traditional or customary practices affecting the health of women and girls (A/58/169), said that her country did not recognize the information in the report concerning her country and asked what criteria had been used in preparing the report and what the sources of that information were.
51 - السيدة نعمان (اليمن): أشارت إلى تقرير الأمين العام عن الممارسات التقليدية أو العرفية التي تؤثر على صحة المرأة والبنت (A/58/169)، قائلة إن بلدها لا يقر المعلومات التي تتعلق به، ويتساءل عن المعايير التي استخدمت عند وضع التقرير وعن المصادر التي من خلالها تم الحصول على هذه المعلومات.

Referring to the report of the Secretary-General on traditional or customary practices affecting the health of women and girls (A/58/169), she said that Syrian legislation imposed severe penalties on the perpetrators of any crimes or practices affecting the health or rights of women.
وقالت، في إشارة إلى تقرير الأمين العام عن الممارسات التقليدية أو العرفية التي تؤثر على صحة المرأة والبنت (A/58/169)، إن القوانين في سورية تعاقب بشدة على أي جرائم أو ممارسات تؤثر على صحة المرأة وحقوقها.

15. Her delegation welcomed the quality of the reports before the Committee, in particular the report on the status of the Convention against the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (A/53/318) and the Secretary-General’s report on traditional or customary practices affecting the health of women (A/53/354).
٥١ - وأضافت قائلة إن الوفد اﻹكوادوري يشيد بالتقارير المعروضة على اللجنة لما تتسم به من نوعية جيدة، ولا سيما التقرير المتعلق بحالة اتفاقية القضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز ضد المرأة (A/53/318) وتقرير اﻷمين العام عن الممارسات التقليدية أو العرفية التي تؤثر على صحة المرأة والبنت (A/53/354).

20. As indicated in the report of the Secretary-General on traditional or customary practices affecting the health of women and girls (A/53/354), her Government had established a National Committee on traditional or customary practices to prepare information and conduct sensitization campaigns on all practices affecting the health of women and girls.
٢٠ - ومضت قائلة إن حكومتها قامت، على نحو ما تمت اﻹشارة اليه في تقرير اﻷمين العام عن الممارسات التقليدية أو العرفية التي تؤثر في صحة المرأة والبنت )A/53/354( بإنشاء لجنة وطنية معنية بالممارسات التقليدية أو العرفية وذلك ﻹعداد المعلومات والقيام بحملات للتوعية بشأن جميع الممارسات التي تؤثر على صحة المرأة والبنت.

41. With regard to the Secretary-General's report on traditional or customary practices affecting the health of women and girls (A/58/169) and, in particular, with regard to crimes against women committed in the name of honour, his delegation reaffirmed that present Argentine legislation did not regard the defence of honour as justifying impunity or attenuating the severity of the penalty.
41 - فيما يتعلق بتقرير الأمين العام عن الممارسات التقليدية أو العرفية التي تؤثر في صحة المرأة والطفلة (A/58/169) ولا سيما فيما يتعلق بالجرائم المرتكبة ضد المرأة باسم الشرف أكد وفد الأرجنتين مجدداً أن التشريع الأرجنتيني الراهن لا يتضمن الدفاع عن الشرف بوصفه سبباً لعدم الإدانة أو ظرفاً مخففاً للعقوبة.
