2. Recent measures to increase international financial and technical cooperation for development by the European Union and the Group of Eight (G-8) (report, paras. 8-9) had been reflected in the Outcome of the 2005 World Summit, as had the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness with its more than 50 commitments to improve the quality of aid (report, para. 10).
