Before I conclude, allow me, on a brief personal note, to thank the Chair of the Fifth Committee, Ambassador Gert Rosenthal of Guatemala, for the wise and noble way in which he guided us through our difficult work, as well as my fellow Bureau members, working with whom is always a truly gratifying experience.

Round table I was chaired by the Senior Vice-President of the Council, Gert Rosenthal (Guatemala), and the panel participants were the Chairperson of the Development Committee, the Special Representative of IMF to the United Nations, the Managing Director of the World Bank, the Senior Adviser of the World Trade Organization and the Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
