Under this procedure, the Committee, during its seventyninth and eighty-first sessions, respectively, considered the measures taken by Equatorial Guinea and the Central African Republic to give effect to the rights recognized in the Covenant, in the first case without a report and in the absence of a delegation, in the second case in the absence of a report but in the presence of a delegation.

Mr. SHEARER said that the end of the seventh sentence referring to Equatorial Guinea and the Central African Republic should be amended to read " ... in the absence of both a report and a delegation in the first case, and in the absence of a report but in the presence of a delegation in the second case " .
