Training 23. Despite information on some training provided to professionals working with and for children, the Committee regrets that such training remains dispersed and is not delivered systematically to all professional groups working for or with children.

It further recommends that this training be expanded and be made available on a systematic basis to all groups of professionals working with children, including social workers and medical professionals.

However, the Committee remains concerned at insufficient efforts to raise awareness about the Optional Protocol among relevant groups of professionals and the public at large, throughout its territory, and to provide adequate training in all areas of the Optional Protocol.

The trainings were directed at providing the specific information and skills to each of the groups of professionals concerned and sensitizing them to all forms of violence against women and children and adequately responding them, along with teaching in details the specifics of the Georgia's National Referal Mechanism.
