the Expert Group on Best Available Techniques and Best Environmental Practices was established pursuant to decision SC-1/19, adopted by the Conference of the Parties to the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants at its first meeting, in May 2005.

the Expert Group on Best Available Techniques and Best Environmental Practices was established by the Conference of the Parties in its decision SC-1/19 adopted at its first meeting held in Punta del Este, Uruguay 1-5 May 2005.
1 - أنشأ مؤتمر الأطراف فريق الخبراء المعني بأفضل التقنيات المتاحة وأفضل الممارسات البيئية وذلك في مقرر اتفاقية استكهولم - 1/19 الذي اعتمده في اجتماعه الأول المعقود في بونتاديل إيست، أوروغواي، في الفترة من 1 - 5 أيار/مايو 2005.

(a) To take note of the report of the Expert Group on Best Available Techniques and best environmental practices on the work of its first meeting contained in document UNEP/POPS/EGBATBEP.1/5;
(أ) الأخذ علماً بتقرير فريق الخبراء المعني بأفضل التقنيات المتاحة وأفضل الممارسات البيئية عن أعمال اجتماعه الأول الوارد في الوثيقة UNEP/POPS/EGBATBEP.1/5؛

Requested the Secretariat to transmit annex II of the report of the Expert Group on Best Available Techniques and Best Environmental Practices on the work of its second meeting to the appropriate bodies of the Basel Convention through the Secretariat of the Basel Convention in response to a request by the Conference of the Parties to the Basel Convention at its seventh meeting;

The Conference of the Parties has before it notes by the Secretariat on guidelines on best available techniques and provisional guidance on best environmental practices (UNEP/POPS/COP.2/7) and the report of the Expert Group on Best Available Techniques and Best Environmental Practices on the work of its first meeting (UNEP/POPS/EGBATBEP.1/5).

5. Welcomes the transmission of annex II to the report of the Expert Group on Best Available Techniques and Best Environmental Practices of the Stockholm Convention on the work of its second meeting to the appropriate bodies of the Basel Convention in response to decision VII/13;

the Expert Group on Best Available Techniques and Best Environmental Practices, established by the Conference of the Parties of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants by decision SC-1/19, shall have as its mandate the completion of the tasks identified below relevant to the provisions of Article 5 of the Convention, for consideration by the Conference of the Parties at its third meeting.

The Secretariat completed the publication of the Guidelines on Best Available Techniques and Provisional Guidance on Best Environmental Practices Relevant to Article 5 and Annex C of the Stockholm Convention in English, French, Spanish and Russian that was developed by the Expert Group on Best Available Techniques and Best Environmental Practices and adopted by the Conference of the Parties by decision SC-3/5.
