Perhaps the most substantive progress was achieved in discussions on the question of outer Space benefits.

Now, we find ourselves in a world where the benefits of space permeate almost every facet of our lives.

Likewise, we have recognized that States must not be excluded from access to the benefits of space for peaceful purposes.

It suggested that the Preparatory Committee might wish to consider having " Space benefits for Humanity in the twenty-first Century " as the theme.
وفي هذا الصدد ، اقترح الاجتماع أن تنظر اللجنة التحضيرية في محور : " فوائد الفضاء للانسانية في القرن الحادي والعشرين " .

135. The view was expressed that the United Nations could further enhance peace and development through the theme of outer Space benefits because of its potential in the field of international cooperation.
١٣٥ - وأعرب أحد الوفود عن رأي مفاده أن بإمكان اﻷمم المتحدة أن تزيد من توطيد السلم وتعزيز التنمية من خلال موضوع فوائد الفضاء الخارجي، نظرا لما لها من إمكانات في مجال التعاون الدولي.

The theme of the Conference, " Space benefits for humanity in the twenty-first century " , reflected the status of the challenges facing the world, as well as the opportunities provided by developments in the field of space to meet those challenges.
وعكس موضوع المؤتمر، " فوائد الفضاء للبشرية في القرن الحادي والعشرين " ، مركز التحديات التي تواجه العالم، فضلا عن الفرص التي توفرها التطورات التي حصلت في ميدان الفضاء للتصدي لتلك التحديات.

Under the theme " Space benefits for humanity in the twenty-first century " , UNISPACE III was convened to take advantage of new opportunities for international cooperation in space activities to address the challenges faced by humanity.
وقد عُقد اليونيسبيس الثالث تحت شعار " فوائد الفضاء للبشرية في القرن الحادي والعشرين " من أجل اغتنام الفرص الجديدة للتعاون الدولي في الأنشطة الفضائية بغية التصدّي للتحدّيات التي تواجــه البشريــة.

The Meeting also noted that the theme of UNISPACE III would be “Space benefits for humanity in the twenty-first century”, as suggested by the Meeting at its eighteenth session.
وأشار الاجتماع أيضا الى أن محور مؤتمر اليونيسبيس الثالث سوف يكون : " فوائد الفضاء للانسانية في القرن الحادي والعشرين " ، وفقا لما اقترحه الاجتماع في دورته الثامنة عشرة .

The Committee expressed appreciation to Raimundo González of Chile, the Chairman of the Legal Subcommittee working group on agenda item 5, " Outer Space benefits " , for his excellent work over the years in leading the work of that group, which resulted in the adoption of the Outer Space benefits Declaration by the Committee at its current session.
٢٢٠ - وأعربت اللجنة عن تقديرها للسيد ريموندو غونزاليس من شيلي، رئيس فريق اللجنة الفرعية القانونية العامل المعني بالبند ٥ من جدول اﻷعمال " فوائد الفضاء الخارجي " ﻷدائه الرائع أثناء قيادته ﻷعمال الفريق التي تكللت باعتماد اللجنة في دورتها الحالية لﻹعلان الخاص بفوائد الفضاء الخارجي.

155. The Committee agreed with the proposal made by the Inter-Agency Meeting on Outer Space Activities that the theme of the UNISPACE III Conference should be " Space benefits for humanity in the twenty-first century " .
١٥٥ - ووافقت اللجنة على اقتراح الاجتماع المشترك بين الوكالات بشأن أنشطة الفضاء الخارجي بأن يكون المحور العام للمؤتمر الثالث هو " فوائد الفضاء اﻹنسانية في القرن الحادي والعشرين " .

The present report on Space benefits contributes to the efforts of the African Leadership Conference to raise awareness among African leaders of the importance of space science and technology, provide a regular forum for the exchange of information among African countries and enhance intra-African cooperation in the development and application of space technology.
69- ويسهم هذا التقرير بشأن فوائد الفضاء في الجهود التي يبذلها مؤتمر القيادات الأفريقية لزيادة وعي القادة الأفارقة بأهمية علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء؛ ويوفّر منبرا منتظما لتبادل المعلومات بين البلدان الأفريقية؛ ويعزز التعاون بين الدول الأفريقية في مجال تطوير تكنولوجيا الفضاء وتطبيقها.

The resulting data and products were available to the public online, since the Copernicus data policy guaranteed free and open data access, thereby contributing to the overall aim of bringing the benefits of space to mankind.
