However, in the case of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, the Presidential Secretariat for Women is responsible and, with regard to the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, the reports are drawn up by the Presidential Commission on Discrimination and Racism against Indigenous Peoples.

Secretariat efforts on capacity-building and awareness-raising activities with respect to the International Convention on the Harmonization of Frontier Control of Goods resulted in the accession of the Islamic Republic of Iran, bringing to 55 the total number of contracting parties.
