Document ICCD/COP(3)/3 provides actual and estimated expenditures in 1999 under the Supplementary Fund and the Special Fund.

Savings under this programme are mainly attributable to the fact that consultancy and travel of staff to participate in activities organized by the UNCCD in the different regions were included in the cost plans for those activities and financed by earmarked voluntary contributions under the Supplementary Fund.

10. In the light of the outcomes of the fifth and sixth sessions of the CRIC, activities to be undertaken under the Supplementary Fund would include those that may be decided upon by Parties at COP 8, but for which sufficient funding may not be available under the core budget.
10- وعلى ضوء نتائج الدورتين الخامسة والسادسة للجنة استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية، فإن الأنشطة التي سيتم الاضطلاع بها في إطار الصندوق التكميلي ستشمل الأنشطة التي ربما تقررها الأطراف في الدورة الثامنة لمؤتمرها والتي قد لا يُتاح لها التمويل الكافي من الميزانية الأساسية.

To take note of the activities to be carried under the Supplementary Fund during the biennium 2006-2007 and the related estimates for funding requirements;
