Noting the discussions on restorative justice during the Tenth United Nations Congress on the Prevention of Crime and the Treatment of Offenders, held in Vienna from 10 to 17 April 2000, under the agenda item entitled " Offenders and victims: accountability and fairness in the justice process " ,
وإذ يلاحظ المناقشات التي دارت بشأن العدالة التصالحية أثناء مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة العاشر لمنع الجريمة ومعاملة المجرمين، المعقود في فيينا من 10 الى 17 نيسان/أبريل 2000، في اطار البند المعنون " الجناة والضحايا: المساءلة والإنصاف في اجراءات العدالة " ،

It was discussed during the Tenth United Nations Congress on the Prevention of Crime and the Treatment of Offenders, held in Vienna from 10 to 17 April 2000. Participants agreed that the concepts of restorative justice should be fundamental elements in any discussion of accountability and fairness to offenders and victims in the justice process.
وقد نوقشت هذه المسألة أثناء مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة العاشر لمنع الجريمة ومعاملة المجرمين، المعقود في فيينا في الفتـرة من 10 إلى 17 نيسان/أبريل 2001.(1) ووافق المشاركون على أن مفاهيم العدالة التصالحية ينبغي أن تكون عناصر أساسية في أي مناقشة عن المساءلة والانصاف للجناة والضحايا في اجراءات العدالة.
