I would like to call attention to resolution 2758 (XXVI), adopted in 1971, which denied over 21.8 million people their right to international representation and totally contravenes the principle of universality, consecrated in the Charter.
أود أن أوجه الانتباه إلى القرار ٢٧٥٨ )د - ٢٦( الذي اعتمد في ١٩٧١ والذي حرم أكثر من ٢١,٨ مليون شخص من حقهم في التمثيل الدولي بما يتناقض تماما مع مبدأ العالمية المكرس في ميثاق اﻷمم المتحدة.

Taiwan sought recognition of its right to international representation on equal terms as those enjoyed by other countries so that it could be a constructive voice within the United Nations, cooperate in programmes for the economic and social development of poor countries, and seek solutions to the current United Nations economic crisis, which had repercussions for Taiwan as well.
