31. In accordance with decision 1/COP.5, the secretariat has prepared syntheses and preliminary analyses of reports submitted by affected country Parties of regions other than Africa, setting out the trends emerging in implementation of the Convention.
33- ووفقاً للمقرر 1/م أ-5، أعدت الأمانة التوليفات والتحليلات الأولية للتقارير المقدمة من البلدان الأطراف المتأثرة في المناطق خلاف أفريقيا، مبينةً الاتجاهات التي ظهرت في عملية تنفيذ الاتفاقية.

During the first segment, from 4 to 12 October 2006, the CRIC would conduct a review of the implementation of action programmes under the Convention in regions other than Africa.

The thematic topics would be introduced by the secretariat, followed by panel discussions on the implementation of action programmes in regions other than Africa, among the representatives of affected and developed country Parties as well as of relevant organs, funds and programmes of the United Nations system and other IGOs and NGOs.

36. The secretariat has prepared a synthesis of the information provided by United Nations organizations and IGOs and NGOs on their activities in support of the preparation and implementation of action programmes in regions other than Africa; this synthesis is contained in document ICCD/CRIC(5)/6.
38- أعدت الأمانة توليفاً للمعلومات المقدمة من منظمات الأمم المتحدة والمنظمات الحكومية الدولية والمنظمات غير الحكومية بشأن ما تضطلع به من أنشطة لدعم إعداد وتنفيذ برامج العمل في المناطق خلاف أفريقيا؛ ويرد هذا التوليف في الوثيقة ICCD/CRIC(5)/6.
