17. Trade in methyl bromide is controlled in a manner similar to that of carbon tetrachloride, with trade permitted between Parties under a licensing system, and trade not permitted with non-Parties. Trade between non-Parties is not controlled under the Montreal Protocol.
17 - تجري مراقبة التجارة في بروميد الميثيل بصورة شبيهة لتلك الخاصة برابع كلوريد الكربون مع السماح للتجارة بين الأطـراف بموجب نظـام تراخيص، وغير مسموح بالتجارة مع غير الأطراف، ولا تتم مراقبة التجارة بين غير الأطراف بواسطة بروتوكول مونتريال.

(a) Article 5 Parties could put in place strong systems for licensing trade in methyl bromide as part of the licensing regimes which they already have or intend to have for CFCs;
(أ) يمكن للأطراف العاملة بموجب المادة 5 أن تضع موضع التنفيذ نظما قوية لترخيص الاتجار في بروميد الميثيل كجز من أنظمة الترخيص التي لديها بالفعل، أو تزمع أن تنشئها، بشأن مركبات الكربون الكلورية فلورية؛

Subsequently, the representative of Argentina introduced a revised draft decision. Regarding the future interim reductions in methyl bromide, a number of representatives observed that there was no guarantee that any would be agreed, and the Meeting consequently decided to change the wording to " further " interim reductions.
