The Office will continue to assist Member States in promoting, strengthening and consolidating multilaterally negotiated principles and norms in all areas of disarmament and non-proliferation in all its aspects in order to help maintain international peace and security and to contribute to global efforts against terrorism.
وسيواصل المكتب مساعدة الدول الأعضاء في تعزيز وتوطيد وترسيخ المبادئ والقواعد التي تم إرساؤها من خلال مفاوضات متعددة في جميع مجالات نزع السلاح وعدم الانتشار وذلك من أجل المساعدة في صون السلم والأمن الدوليين والإسهام في الجهود العالمية ضد الإرهاب.

It also needs to emphasize the relevance and validity of the disarmament objectives set forth by the First, Second and Third Disarmament Decades and consolidate multilaterally negotiated principles and norms in all areas of disarmament and non-proliferation.
كما ينبغي للإعلان أن يؤكد على وجاهة وصحة أهداف نزع السلاح التي حددها العقد الأول والثاني والثالث لنـزع السلاح وأن يرسخ المبادئ والقواعد المتفق عليها في المفاوضات المتعددة الأطراف في جميع مجالات نزع السلاح وعدم الانتشار.

Creating the appropriate conditions for a world without nuclear weapons means encouraging all countries to achieve progress in all areas of disarmament, reducing imbalances in conventional weapons, working towards reducing international tension and enhancing collective security.
كما أن تهيئة الظروف المناسبة لعالم خال من الأسلحة النووية تقتضي تشجيع تقدم جميع البلدان في جميع مجالات نزع السلاح المختلفة، وتقليل أوجه الاختلال في مجال الأسلحة التقليدية، والسعي من أجل تخفيف حدة التوترات الدولية وتعزيز الأمن الجماعي.
