It requested the Executive Secretary to take the necessary steps to support implementation of the Beijing Declaration and the Platform for Action in coordination with the Jakarta Declaration and Plan of Action, and to report to the Commission at its fifty-third session on the implementation of the present resolution.

55. In connection with the action that the General Assembly may take at its fifty-third session on the loss of United Nations assets in peacekeeping operations, the Committee recommends that the General Assembly take note of the report of the Secretary-General (A/53/340).
