تحيط علما بطلب الأمين العام ضـــرورة زيادة الاعتماد المنقح بمبلـغ 600 452 28 دولار، وتقرر، واضعة في الاعتبار ضرورة توخي الدقة في تحديد المستوى النهائي المطلوب من الاعتمادات والأنصبة المقررة، أنها ستعاود النظر في الاعتماد النهائي في دورتها السادسة والخمسين المستأنفة في آذار/مارس 2002؛

2. In paragraph II.24 of its resolution 56/242, the General Assembly had reiterated its request to the Secretary-General to consider improving and modernizing the conference facilities at UNON in order to accommodate adequately major meetings and conferences and to report thereon to the Assembly at its resumed fifty-sixth session.
2 - وقال إن الجمعية العامة، في الفقرة ثانيا - 24 من قراراها 56/242 أعادت تأكيد طلبها إلى الأمين العام أن ينظر في تحسين وتحديث مرافق المؤتمرات بمكتب الأمم المتحدة بنيروبي، بغية استيعاب الاجتماعات والمؤتمرات الرئيسية على نحو ملائم، وأن يقدم تقريرا عن ذلك إلى الجمعية في دورتها السادسة والخمسين المستأنفة.

3. In its resolution 56/246, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General to ensure that the Office of Internal Oversight Services submitted an update on the status of the oversight activities referred to in paragraphs 71 to 81 and in paragraphs 52 to 60, respectively, of its two most recent annual reports (A/55/436 and A/56/381), for further consideration by the Assembly at its resumed fifty-sixth session.
