4 - يتخذ المتعاقدون جميع التدابير اللازمة لضمان الاضطلاع بأنشطتهم بحيث لا ينجم عنها ضرر بسبب تلوث البيئة البحرية المشمولة بولاية دول أخرى أو خاضعة لسيادتها وبحيث لا ينتشر التلوث الناجم عن الأحداث أو الأنشطة في قطاع الاستكشاف خارج تلك القطاعات. [قياسا على المادة 194].

2.2 The Contractor shall have the exclusive right to explore for polymetallic nodules in the exploration area in accordance with the terms and conditions of this contract.
