United Nations resolutions, and most recently, General Assembly resolution 53/77 J, have affirmed the need for all States, through their actions, to fully contribute to ensuring compliance with environmental norms in the implementation of treaties and conventions.
لقد أكدت قرارات اﻷمم المتحدة وآخرها القرار ٥٣/٧٧ )ياء( على ضرورة إسهام جميع الدول إسهاما كاملا، من خلال اﻹجراءات التي تتخذها، في كفالة الالتزام بالمعايير البيئية لدى تنفيذها للمعاهدات والاتفاقيات.

They reaffirmed that international disarmament forums should take fully into account the relevant environmental norms in negotiating treaties and agreements on disarmament and arms limitation and that all States, through their actions, should contribute fully to ensuring compliance with the aforementioned norms in the implementation of treaties and conventions to which they are parties.
وأكدوا من جديد أن المنتديات الدولية لنـزع السلاح ينبغي أن تراعي تماماً المعايير البيئية ذات الصلة عند التفاوض بشأن معاهدات واتفاقات دولية لنزع السلاح والحد من الأسلحة، وأنه ينبغي لجميع الدول أن تسهم إسهاماً كاملاً، من خلال الإجراءات التي تتخذها، في كفالة الالتزام بالمعايير المذكورة آنفاً لدى تنفيذ المعاهدات والاتفاقيات التي هي أطراف فيها.

١ - تعيد التأكيد على أن تراعي المحافل الدولية لنزع السلاح مراعاة تامة المعايير البيئية ذات الصلة في المفاوضات بشأن معاهدات واتفاقات نزع السلاح والحد من اﻷسلحة، وعلى أن تسهم جميع الدول إسهاما كاملا، من خلال اﻹجراءات التي تتخذها، في كفالة الالتزام بالمعايير السالفة الذكر لدى تنفيذها للمعاهدات والاتفاقيات التي هي طرف فيها؛
