It calls on all parties to renew their efforts towards the holding of such a conference.
وهو يكرر تأكيد رأيه بأن عقد مؤتمر إقليمي بشأن السلام واﻷمن والاستقرار في منطقة البحيرات الكبرى تحت رعاية اﻷمم المتحدة ومنظمة الوحدة الافريقية أمر له أهمية رئيسية في إرساء مثل تلك التسوية، وهو يدعو جميع اﻷطراف الى تجديد جهودها الرامية الى عقد مؤتمر من هذا القبيل.

Reaffirms the importance of holding, at the appropriate time, an international conference on peace, security, democracy and development in the Great Lakes region under the auspices of the United Nations and the Organization of African Unity, with the participation of all the Governments of the region and all others concerned;
18 - يؤكد مجددا أهمية القيام، في الوقت المناسب، بعقد مؤتمر دولي للسلام والأمن والديمقراطية والتنمية في منطقة البحيرات الكبرى تحت إشراف الأمم المتحدة ومنظمة الوحدة الأفريقية، وبمشاركة جميع حكومات المنطقة وسائر الجهات المعنية الأخرى؛
