In order to enforce peace and stability in the Persian Gulf region, enhanced cooperation between coalition forces, the United Nations and the international community is necessary.
وتعزيز التعاون بين قوات الائتلاف والأمم المتحدة والمجتمع الدولي أمر ضروري لتحقيق السلام والاستقرار في منطقة الخليج العربي.

My Government takes this opportunity to reaffirm the commitment of the United Arab Emirates to security and stability in the Arabian Gulf region and its readiness to abide by the provisions of the Charter of the United Nations and the principles of international law.

Some States in the Arabian Gulf area indicated that waste originating from chemical munitions dumped at sea could be a big threat to the fragile environmental resources in that area, and that its marine flora and fauna could be greatly affected in case of any controlled or uncontrolled dumping and disposal.
21 - وأشار بعض الدول في منطقة الخليج العربي إلى أن النفايات الناتجة عن إغراق الذخائر الكيميائية في البحر يمكن أن تشكل تهديداً كبيراً للموارد البيئية الهشة في تلك المنطقة، وأن الحيوانات والنباتات البحرية فيها يمكن أن تتأثر بشدة في حال إجراء أي عمليات إغراق وتخلص من النفايات، سواء كانت خاضعة للمراقبة أم لا.

In May 2003, the Estonian Parliament approved the deployment of a unit of the Estonian Defence Forces to peace enforcement operations in Iraq and Estonian servicemen joined the mission in the Persian Gulf region in June.
