The Ministers welcomed the positive developments in the situation in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) following the end of the M23 rebellion and the signing in Nairobi on 12 December, 2013, endorsed by a joint Communique signed by the outgoing Chair of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) and the incumbent Chair of Southern African Development Cooperation (SADC).
