٧ - تطلب كذلك إلى اﻷمين العام أن يواصل الجهود من أجل تعيين موظفين محليين في بعثة المراقبين في وظائف من فئة الخدمات العامة بما يتناسب مع احتياجات البعثة، وذلك بغرض خفض تكاليف تعيين موظفين من فئة الخدمات العامة؛

22. In paragraph 5 of its resolution 52/249 of 26 June 1998, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General, in order to reduce the cost of employing General Service staff, to employ locally recruited staff for the Mission against General Service posts, commensurate with the requirements of the Mission.
٢٢ - ولخفض تكلفة استخدام موظفي الخدمات العامة طلبت الجمعية العامة من اﻷمين العام في الفقرة ٥ من قرارها ٥٢/٢٤٩ المؤرخ ٢٣ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٨، أن يستخدم موظفين معينين محليا للبعثة في وظائف من فئة الخدمات العامة بما يتناسب مع احتياجات البعثة.

14. Further requests the Secretary-General, in order to reduce the cost of employing General Service staff, to continue efforts to recruit local staff for the Mission against General Service posts, commensurate with the requirements of the Mission;
14 - تطلب كذلك إلى الأمين العام بغية خفض تكاليف استخدام موظفي فئة الخدمات العامة، أن يواصل بذل الجهود لاستخدام موظفين محليين في البعثة في وظائف من فئة الخدمات العامة على نحو يتناسب مع احتياجات البعثة؛

He would also like clarification of the statement in paragraph 25 that " for operational reasons, it has been concluded that no conversion of General Service staff posts into local staff posts is possible at this time " , notwithstanding the General Assembly's request in paragraph 14 of its resolution 55/264 that the Secretary-General should continue " efforts to recruit local staff for the Force against General Service posts " .
كما يود الحصول على إيضاح عما ورد في الفقرة 25 من " أنه تم التوصل إلى نتيجة مفادها أنه، لأسباب تشغيلية، لا يمكن في الوقت الراهن تحويل وظائف الخدمات العامة إلى وظائف محلية " مع أن الجمعية العامة طلبت في الفقرة 14 من قرارها 55/264 أن يواصل الأمين العام بذل " الجهود لاستخدام موظفين محليين في القوة في وظائف من فئة الخدمات العامة " .
