Mr. Koubaa (Tunisia) said that the international community had repeatedly denounced the non-implementation of existing standards regarding the protection of the rights of the child in areas of conflict and that, according to the relevant report of the Secretary-General, the situation of children continued to be precarious in many regions of the world, particularly in Africa.
90 - السيد قباء (تونس): قال إن المجتمع الدولي استنكر أكثر من مرة عدم تطبيق القواعد الموجودة في مجال حماية حقوق الطفل في مناطق الصراع، وإن حالة الأطفال، كما ورد في تقرير الأمين العام ذي الصلة، لا تزال مزعزعة في الكثير من أنحاء العالم، وبخاصة في أفريقيا.

21. Mr. Koubaa (Tunisia) welcomed the emphasis put by OHCHR on the linkages between human rights and the right to development and between human rights and poverty reduction, but expressed concern at the limited progress made by the mechanisms dealing with the right to development.
