1. The Expert Meeting on Competition Law and Policy, held in November 1997, requested the UNCTAD secretariat to prepare a preliminary report of a study on experiences gained so far on international cooperation on competition policy issues and the mechanisms used.
1- رجا اجتماع الخبراء المعني بقوانين وسياسات المنافسة، الذي اجتمع في تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 1997، من أمانة الأونكتاد أن تعد تقريرا أولياً لدراسة عن الخبرات المكتسبة حتى الآن في التعاون الدولي بشأن قضايا سياسات المنافسة والآليات المستخدمة(1).

1. In line with a request made by the Expert Meeting on Competition Law and Policy, held in November 1997, * the UNCTAD secretariat * submitted a preliminary report of a study on experiences gained so far in international cooperation on competition policy issues and the mechanisms used * to the first session of the Intergovernmental Group of Experts on Competition Law and Policy, held from 29 to 31 July 1998.
