Under the provisions of article 24, paragraph 3 of the Convention, the COP may, as necessary, appoint ad hoc panels to provide it, through the CST, with information and advice on specific issues regarding the state of the art in relevant fields of science and technology.
ويجوز لمؤتمر اﻷطراف، بموجب أحكام الفقرة ٣ من المادة ٤٢ من الاتفاقية، أن يعين حسبما يلزم أفرقة مخصصة لكي تزوده، من خلال لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا، بالمعلومات والمشورة عن قضايا محددة تتعلق بآخر ما وصل إليه التقدم في ميادين العلم والتكنولوجيا ذات الصلة.

25. The COP may appoint ad hoc Panels, as necessary, to provide it with information and advice on specific issues regarding the state of the art in relevant fields of science and technology.
٥٢- يجوز لمؤتمر اﻷطراف، حسبما يكون ضرورياً، أن يعين أفرقة مخصصة لكي تقدم إليه المعلومات والمشورة بشأن قضايا محددة تتعلق بآخر ما وصل إليه التقدم في ميادين العلم والتكنولوجيا.

1. The Conference of the Parties may, in principle in its ordinary session, and as necessary, appoint ad hoc panels to provide it, through the Committee on Science and Technology, with information and advice on specific issues regarding the state of the art in fields of science and technology relevant to combating desertification and mitigating the effects of drought.
١ - يجوز من حيث المبدأ أن يقوم مؤتمر اﻷطراف، في دورته العادية وحسبما يقتضيه اﻷمر، بتعيين أفرقة مخصصة لتوافيه، عن طريق لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا، بالمعلومات والمشورة بشأن قضايا محددة تتعلق بآخر ما وصل إليه التقدم في ميادين العلم والتكنولوجيا المتصلة بمكافحة التصحر وتخفيف آثار الجفاف.

The Conference of the Parties may, as necessary, appoint ad hoc panels to provide it, through the Committee on Science and Technology, with advice on specific issues regarding the state of the art in fields of science and technology relevant to combating desertification and mitigating the effects of drought.
١- يجوز لمؤتمر اﻷطراف، حسبما يقتضيه اﻷمر، أن يعين أفرقة مخصصة لتوافيه، عن طريق لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا، بالمشورة بشأن قضايا محددة تتعلق بآخر ما وصل إليه التقدم في ميادين العلم والتكنولوجيا المتصلة بمكافحة التصحر وتخفيف آثار الجفاف.

13. Article 24, paragraph 3 of the Convention provides that the Conference of the Parties " may, as necessary, appoint ad hoc panels to provide it, through the Committee, with information and advice on specific issues regarding the state of the art in fields of science and technology relevant to combating desertification and mitigating the effects of drought.

٣- يجوز لمؤتمر اﻷطراف، حسبما يكون ضروريا، أن يعين أفرقة مخصصة لكي تقدم إليه، عن طريق اللجنة، المعلومات والمشورة بشأن قضايا محددة تتعلق بآخر ما وصل إليه التقدم في ميادين العلم والتكنولوجيا المتصلة بمكافحة التصحر وتخفيف آثار الجفاف.

Article 24, paragraph 3, of the Convention provides for the COP to appoint ad hoc panels to provide it, through the CST, with information and advice on specific issues regarding the state of the art in fields of science and technology relevant to combating desertification and mitigating the effects of drought.
16- تنص الفقرة 3 من المادة 24 من الاتفاقية على أن يعين مؤتمر الأطراف أفرقة مخصصة لكي تقدم إليه، بواسطة لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا، المعلومات والمشورة بشأن قضايا محددة تتعلق بآخر ما وصل إليه التقدم في ميادين العلم والتكنولوجيا المتعلقة بمكافحة التصحر وتخفيف آثار الجفاف.

24. The main function of the ad hoc panels is to provide information and advice to the COP, through the CST, on specific issues regarding the state of the art in fields of science and technology relevant to combating desertification and mitigating the effects of drought. ٤٢- تختص اﻷفرقة المخصصة بتقديم المعلومات والمشورة إلى مؤتمر اﻷطراف، عن طريق لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا، بشأن قضايا محددة تتعلق بآخر ما وصل إليه التقدم في ميادين العلم والتكنولوجيا المتصلة بمكافحة التصحر وتخفيف آثار الجفاف )بناء على المادة ٤٢ من الاتفاقية(.

In order to examine issues in greater detail, as outlined in paragraph 3 of article 24, the Conference of the Parties may, as necessary, appoint ad hoc panels " to provide it, through the CST, with information and advice on specific issues regarding the state of the art in fields of science and technology relevant to combating desertification and mitigating the effects of drought " .
6- ولكي يتسنى لمؤتمر الأطراف بحث القضايا بحثاً أكثـر تفصيلاً، كما تنص على ذلك الفقرة 3 من المادة 24، يجوز لـه، حسبما يكون ضرورياً، أن يعيِّن أفرقة مخصصة " لكي تقدم إليه، عن طريق اللجنة، المعلومات والمشورة بشأن قضايا محددة تتعلق بآخر ما وصل إليه التقدم في ميادين العلم والتكنولوجيا فيما يتصل بمكافحة التصحر وتخفيف آثار الجفاف.

Article 24 of the Convention underlines that the COP " may, as necessary, appoint ad hoc panels to provide it, through the Committee of Science and Technology, with information and advice on specific issues regarding the state of the art in the fields of science and technology ... " .
