The Law on Counteracting Introduction into Financial Circulation of property values Derived from Illegal or Undisclosed Sources and on Counteracting the Financing of Terrorism of 16 November 2000 (with amendments) sets forth standards of the procedure of combating money laundering and financing of terrorism in Poland.

44. In order to suppress the financing of terrorism, Poland amended the Act of 16 November 2000, on the Prevention of the Introduction into Financial Circulation of property values Derived from Illegal or Undisclosed Sources and on the Prevention of the Financing of Terrorism.4

As such, the Administration considers that, as previously committed, it is on target to disclose expendable property values in time for inclusion in the June 2014 financial statements at the latest, and therefore does not agree with the " not implemented " status of this recommendation, as stated in paragraph 14 and annex II of the Board's report.

In connection with the Act of 16 November 2000 on Counteracting the Introduction into Financial Circulation of property values Derived from Illegal or Undisclosed Sources and on Counteracting the Financing of Terrorism, the General Inspector of Financial Information was responsible for obtaining, gathering, processing and analysing information with the aim, inter alia, of counteracting the financing of terrorism.

(j) Record non-expendable property values in a timely and regular manner, as soon as they are recorded in the asset database; take a full physical inventory of its non-expendable property in each field representation so as to match the assets present with the list of assets found in the database; and monitor asset disposal procedures more rigorously (para. 153);

16. With a view to strengthening further the controls of property management, the Secretary-General has also decided that property assigned to staff members under the property procedures, for use away from their offices, such as at home or on mission assignment, will be monitored more closely by each department and office through the property custodian, who will be required to maintain such records.
