Ms. Kafanabo (United Republic of Tanzania), speaking on behalf of the Group of African States, said she regretted that the Special Rapporteur had attempted to introduce controversial notions into his report, such as sexual orientation and gender identity, thereby departing from the Code of Conduct for Special Procedures Mandate-holders of the Human Rights Council and from the mandate the Council had granted him.
