وفي هذا الصدد تشير اللجنة إلى قرار الجمعية العامة 61/148 المؤرخ 19 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2006، الذي حثَّت فيه الجمعية العامة بقوة الدولَ الأطراف على التعجيل باتخاذ إجراءاتها الداخلية للتصديق على التعديل وإخطار الأمين العام كتابةً وعلى وجه السرعة بموافقتها على التعديل.
