فيما أعلن رسمياً الإعلان بشأن حق الشعوب في السلم، الذي اعتمد في 12 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 1984، أن " شعوب كوكبنا لها حق مقدس في السلم " (الفقرة 1).

Most notably, in the annex to its resolution 34/11, the Assembly proclaimed that " the peoples of our planet have a sacred right to peace " .
ويبرز هذا الاعتراف بالأخص في مرفق قرار الجمعية العامة 34/11، الذي أعلنت فيه الجمعية أن " شعوب كوكبنا لها حق مقدس في السلم " .

In its resolution 14/3, the Human Rights Council reaffirmed that the peoples of our planet have a sacred right to peace, and also that the preservation of the right of peoples to peace and the promotion of its implementation constitute a fundamental obligation of all States and stresses the importance of peace for the promotion and protection of all human rights for all.
18- يؤكد مجلس حقوق الإنسان من جديد، في قراره 14/3، أن شعوب كوكبنا لها حق مقدس في السلم، وأن المحافظة على حق الشعوب في السلم وتشجيع إعمال هذا الحق يشكلان التزاماً أساسياً على جميع الدول، ويشدد على أهمية السلم لتعزيز وحماية جميع حقوق الإنسان للجميع.

In the Declaration on the Right of Peoples to Peace, the international community also solemnly proclaimed that “the peoples of our planet have a sacred right to peace” and solemnly declared that “the preservation of the right of peoples to peace and the promotion of its implementation constitute a fundamental obligation of each State”.
وبالاضافة إلى ذلك، أعلن المجتمع الدولي رسمياً، في اﻹعلان بشأن حق الشعوب في السلم، أن " شعوب كوكبنا لها حق مقدس في السلم " كما أعلن رسمياً أن المحافظة على حق الشعوب في السلم وتشجيع تنفيذ هذا الحق يشكلان التزاماً أساسياً على كل دولة " .
