8. Speaking on behalf of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), Zdzislaw Kedzia stated that since its adoption, the implementation of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action had been among the priorities of OHCHR.

9. At the forty-eighth session the Committee elected Mr. Aslan Abashidze to replace Mr. Zdzislaw Kedzia as Vice-Chair for the remainder of his unexpired term as officer on the Bureau of the Committee, that is until 29 April 2013.
9- وأثناء الدورة الثامنة والأربعين، انتخبت اللجنة السيد أصلان أباشيدزي ليحل محل السيد زديسلاف كيدزيا نائباً للرئيس لما تبقى من ولايته غير المنتهية كموظف في مكتب اللجنة، أي حتى 29 نيسان/أبريل 2013.

1. With reference to the list of candidates mentioned in annex III to document CCPR/SP/43, the Permanent Mission of Poland to the United Nations has informed the secretariat, in a note dated 31 August 1994, that the Government of Poland had decided to withdraw the nomination of Mr. Zdzislaw Kedzia as a candidate in the forthcoming elections to the Human Rights Committee.
١ - باﻹشارة الى قائمة المرشحين الواردة في المرفق الثالث من الوثيقة CCPR/SP/43، أبلغت البعثة الدائمة لبولندا لدى اﻷمم المتحدة اﻷمانة العامة في مذكرة مؤرخة ٣١ آب/اغسطس ١٩٩٤، بأن حكومة بولندا قررت سحب ترشيح السيد جيزلان كيدزيا للانتخابات التي ستجرى قريبا لعضوية اللجنة المعنية بحقوق اﻹنسان.
