Consistent with paragraph 9 of Article 2 of the Montreal Protocol Kenya and Mauritius have circulated a proposal to adjust the Protocol's current methyl bromide basic domestic needs provision to limit allowable production of this substance after 2010.

The Working Group is expected to consider a joint proposal for adjustment to the Montreal Protocol submitted by Kenya and Mauritius pursuant to Article 2, paragraph 9, of the Montreal Protocol to reduce the allowance of methyl bromide produced for basic domestic needs by Parties not operating under Article 5 for export to Parties operating under Article 5.
