The Committee is further concerned at the low level of public awareness of child sex tourism, as well as of the above-mentioned Code of Conduct and the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Global Code of Ethics for Tourism.

1. Takes note of the report of the World Tourism Organization on the implementation of the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism;

3. The current crises were compromising the benefits of tourism, which, according to the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism, could be a factor in sustainable development.
3 - وأوضح أن الأزمات الحالية تعرّض للخطر الفوائد التي تحققها السياحة التي يمكن أن تكون وفقاً للمدوّنة العالمية لآداب السياحة عاملاً من العوامل في التنمية المستدامة.

17. The UNWTO Global Code of Ethics for Tourism highlights that tourism activities should respect the equality of men and women and should promote human rights and, more particularly, the individual rights of the most vulnerable groups, notably children, the elderly, the handicapped, ethnic minorities and indigenous peoples.
17 - تشدد المدونة العالمية لآداب السياحة التي تعتمدها منظمة السياحة العالمية على ضرورة أن تحترم الأنشطة السياحية مبدأ المساواة بين الرجل والمرأة وأن تعزز حقوق الإنسان، وبصورة أخص، الحقوق الفردية للمجموعات الأكثر ضعفا، لا سيما الأطفال والمسنون والمعوقون والأقليات العرقية والشعوب الأصلية.

Colombia indicated that there was a need for stronger strategies for the dissemination, appropriation and application of the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism, suggesting that UNWTO, in coordination with its member States, could take the lead in that regard.
وأشارت كولومبيا إلى الحاجة إلى اعتماد استراتيجيات أقوى لنشر المدونة العالمية لآداب السياحة واعتمادها وتطبيقها، واقترحت أنّ بإمكان منظمة السياحة العالمية، بالتنسيق مع الدول الأعضاء فيها، أن تتولى دورا رياديا في هذا الصدد.

However, the Committee is concerned that awareness of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Global Code of Ethics for Tourism is low in the State party, and that the number of travel enterprises that have signed the Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism is limited.
ولكن اللجنة قلقة من تدني مستوى الوعي بالمدونة العالمية لآداب السياحة الصادرة عن منظمة السياحة العالمية، ومن محدودية عدد شركات السفر الموقّعة على مدونة قواعد السلوك لحماية الأطفال من الاستغلال الجنسي في السفر والسياحة.

The Committee further urges the State party to cooperate closely with travel operators, the media, non-governmental and civil society organizations and to widely disseminate the UNWTO Global Code of Ethics for Tourism to travel and tourism agencies, and encourage them to adopt the Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism.
كما تحث اللجنة الدولة الطرف على التعاون الوثيق مع شركات السياحة ووسائط الإعلام والمنظمات غير الحكومية ومنظمات المجتمع المدني، كما تحثها على نشر المدونة العالمية لآداب السياحة التابعة لمنظمة السياحة العالمية، على نطاق واسع، على هيئات السياحة ووكالات السياحة وتشجيعها على اعتماد مدونة قواعد السلوك لحماية الأطفال من الاستغلال الجنسي خلال السفر والسياحة.

3. Encourages the World Tourism Organization, through its World Committee on Tourism Ethics and the permanent secretariat of the Committee, to continue to promote and disseminate the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism and to monitor the implementation of the ethical principles related to tourism by both the public and the private sectors;
3 - تشجع منظمة السياحة العالمية على أن تواصل، عن طريق اللجنة العالمية المعنية بآداب السياحة والأمانة الدائمة للجنة، الترويج للمدونة العالمية لآداب السياحة ونشرها ورصد تنفيذ المبادئ الأخلاقية المرتبطة بالسياحة في القطاعين العام والخاص؛

The Committee further urges the State party to strengthen its advocacy with the tourism industry on the harmful effects of child sex tourism, widely disseminate the Charter of Honour for Tourism and the WTO Global Code of Ethics for Tourism among travel agents and tourism agencies and encourage them to sign up for the Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism.
كذلك تحث اللجنة الدولة الطرف على تعزيز جهودها في مجال الدعوة مع صناعة السياحة بشأن الآثار الضارة للسياحة بدافع ممارسة الجنس مع الأطفال، وعلى نشر ميثاق الشرف للعاملين في مجال السياحة والمدونة العالمية لآداب السياحة التابعة لمنظمة السياحة العالمية على نطاق واسع لدى وكلاء السفر ووكالات السياحة وتشجيعهم على التوقيع على مدونة قواعد السلوك لحماية الأطفال من الاستغلال الجنسي في السفر والسياحة.
