In that context, it was noted that the Declaration on the Guiding Principles of Drug Demand Reduction and its Action Plan, as well as the Joint Ministerial Statement and further measures to implement the action plans emanating from the twentieth special session of the General Assembly (A/58/124, sect. II.A), were important guidelines to follow in efforts to reduce significantly the demand for illicit drugs.
وذُكر في هذا السياق أن الإعلان الخاص بالمبادئ التوجيهية لخفض الطلب وخطة العمل المقترنة به، وكذلك البيان الوزاري المشترك والتدابير الإضافية لأجل تنفيذ خطط العمل المنبثقة عن الدورة الاستثنائية العشرين للجمعية العامة (A/58/124، الباب الثاني، ألف)، هي مبادئ توجيهية هامة يتعيّن اتّباعها في الجهود الرامية إلى خفض الطلب على المخدرات غير المشروعة خفضا ملحوظا.
