217. In cases Nos. 1126/2002 (Carranza v. Peru) and 1058/2002 (Vargas v. Peru), involving violations of articles 7; 9, paragraph 1; 10, paragraph 1; and 14, as well as 1125/2002 (Quispe v. Peru), concerning violations of articles 9 and 14, the Committee concluded that the State party was under an obligation to provide the authors with an effective remedy and appropriate compensation.
