However, the Committee regrets the lack of information on the extent of the phenomenon of children in street situations, consistency among the various initiatives taken so far, the results of those initiatives and the actual impact on improving the living conditions of children in street situations.

46. The Committee reiterates the recommendation made by the Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC/C/15/Add.206, para. 69) and, in particular, that street children be provided with preventive and rehabilitative services for physical and sexual abuse, as well as adequate food, clothing, housing, health care and educational opportunities.
