20. Seeking a safer world for all and creating the conditions for a world without nuclear weapons in accordance with the goals of the Treaty will require determined, long-term international cooperation based on common interest.
20 - إن السعي إلى جعل العالم أكثر أمانا من أجل الجميع وتهيئة الأحوال المؤدية إلى إخلاء العالم من الأسلحة النووية وفقا لأهداف المعاهدة يتطلبان تعاونا دوليا طويل الأمد وراسخ العزم عماده المصلحة المشتركة.

Our position stems from the importance Israel attaches to the objectives of the CTBT.

2. In doing so, Brazil sought to join other parties to the Treaty in focusing its efforts on the complete elimination of nuclear arsenals as the only means of correcting the built-in asymmetry between States parties and the full and definitive achievement of the Treaty's goals.

As the Treaty itself says, the inalienable right of sovereign States to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes pursuant to article IV is subject to strict compliance with the other provisions of the Treaty, particularly articles I and II. This is because the right to the peaceful uses of nuclear energy must not be exploited in order to use nuclear technologies, equipment or material for purposes contrary to the aims of the Treaty.

29. As we enter the review cycle leading to the 2015 Review Conference, we reaffirm our commitment to the goal of seeking a safer world for all and creating the conditions for a world without nuclear weapons, in accordance with the goals of the Non-Proliferation Treaty.
29 - ونحن نفتتح دورة الاستعراض المفضية إلى مؤتمر استعراض المعاهدة عام 2015، نعيد تأكيد التزامنا بهدف السعي إلى إيجاد عالم أكثر أمانا للجميع وتهيئة الظروف لعالم يخلو من الأسلحة النووية، وفقا لأهداف المعاهدة.

This was the first joint event organized after the signing of a relationship agreement between the Preparatory Commission and the United Nations on 26 May 2000, and was part of a series of international and regional workshops to promote the Treaty's objectives (Vienna in 1998, Cairo and Beijing in 1999).
