In its decision 4/4, the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime acknowledged that the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children, supplementing the Organized Crime Convention, was the principal legally binding global instrument to combat trafficking in persons.
1- سلَّم مؤتمر الأطراف في اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الجريمة المنظَّمة عبر الوطنية، في مقرَّره 4/4، بأنَّ بروتوكول منع وقمع ومعاقبة الاتِّجار بالأشخاص، وبخاصة النساء والأطفال، المكمِّل لاتفاقية الجريمة المنظَّمة هو الصك العالمي الرئيسي الملزِم قانوناً لمكافحة الاتِّجار بالأشخاص.

In decision 4/4, the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime acknowledged that the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children, supplementing the Organized Crime Convention, was the principal legally binding global instrument to combat trafficking in persons.
1- سلَّم مؤتمرُ الأطراف في اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الجريمة المنظَّمة عبر الوطنية، في مقرَّره 4/4، بأنَّ بروتوكول منع وقمع ومعاقبة الاتجار بالأشخاص، وبخاصة النساء والأطفال، المكمِّل لاتفاقية الجريمة المنظَّمة هو الصك العالمي الرئيسي الملزِم قانوناً لمكافحة الاتجار بالأشخاص.

Member States might consider the following issues, among others, in criminalizing trafficking in persons according to articles 3 (a) and 5 of the Trafficking in Persons Protocol, supplementing the Organized Crime Convention:
4- لعلَّ الدول الأعضاء تودُّ النظر في المسائل التالية، إضافة إلى مسائل أخرى، فيما يتعلق بتجريم الاتِّجار بالأشخاص وفقاً للمادتين 3 (أ) و5 من بروتوكول الاتِّجار بالأشخاص، المكمِّل لاتفاقية الجريمة المنظَّمة:

The Meeting further highlighted that although the smuggling of migrants and trafficking in persons might, in some cases, share some common features, Member States were recommended to consider them distinctly and adopt, as appropriate, separate legal, operational and policy responses, drawing on their commitments in the relevant provisions of the respective Protocols to the Organized Crime Convention.
28- وبيَّن الاجتماع كذلك أنَّه رغم وجود بعض السمات المشتركة بين تهريب المهاجرين والاتِّجار بالأشخاص في بعض الأحيان، فقد أوصيت الدول الأعضاء أن تنظر إلى كلّ منهما على حدة وأن تعتمد، حسب الاقتضاء، ردوداً قانونية وعملياتية وسياساتية مستقلة بشأنهما، بالاستناد إلى التزاماتها الواردة في الأحكام ذات الصلة من البروتوكولين المعنيين لاتفاقية الجريمة المنظَّمة.

2. In its resolution 6/1 on ensuring effective implementation of the Organized Crime Convention and its Protocols, the Conference decided that the mandates for the Working Group on Trafficking in Persons should be continued and that its areas for future work should reflect, as appropriate, the recommendations contained in the report of the Working Group on its previous meeting.
٢- وقرَّر مؤتمر الأطراف، في قراره 6/1 بشأن ضمان التنفيذ الفعَّال لاتفاقية الجريمة المنظَّمة والبروتوكولات الملحقة بها، أن تستمر الولايات المسنَدة إلى الفريق العامل المعني بالاتجار بالأشخاص، وأن تُجسِّد مجالات عمله في المستقبل، حسب الاقتضاء، التوصيات الواردة في تقرير الفريق العامل عن اجتماعه السابق.()

In its resolution 6/1 on ensuring effective implementation of the Organized Crime Convention and its Protocols, the Conference requested the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) to continue providing technical assistance in order to support and complement national, regional and thematic programmes and activities based on the needs and priorities of Member States in combating transnational organized crime.
2- وطلب مؤتمر الأطراف، في قراره 6/1 بشأن ضمان التنفيذ الفعَّال لاتفاقية الجريمة المنظَّمة عبر الوطنية والبروتوكولات الملحقة بها، إلى مكتب الأمم المتحدة المعني بالمخدِّرات والجريمة (المكتب)، ضمن جملة أمور، أن يواصل تقديم المساعدة التقنية من أجل دعم واستكمال البرامج والأنشطة الوطنية والإقليمية والمواضيعية بناءً على احتياجات الدول الأعضاء وأولوياتها في مجال مكافحة الجريمة المنظَّمة عبر الوطنية.
