3. Reiterates that the resolution on the Middle East adopted by the 1995 Review and Extension Conference of the Parties to the Treaty remains valid until its goals and objectives are achieved;
٣ - تكرر التأكيد على أن القرار المتعلق بالشرق الأوسط الذي اتخذه مؤتمر الأطراف في المعاهدة لاستعراض المعاهدة وتمديدها في عام 1995 سيبقى ساريا إلى أن تتحقق أهدافه وغاياته؛

Expressing regret that the conference was not convened in 2012 as mandated and that little progress has been achieved towards the implementation of the resolution on the Middle East adopted by the 1995 Review and Extension Conference of the Parties to the Treaty,
وإذ تعرب عن الأسف لعدم انعقاد المؤتمر في عام 2012 حسبما هو مقرر، ولعدم إحراز تقدم يُذكر صوب تنفيذ القرار المتعلق بالشرق الأوسط الذي اتخذه مؤتمر الأطراف لاستعراض المعاهدة وتمديدها في عام 1995،

It would mark the implementation by the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) of the decision taken at the NPT Review and Extension Conference last year.
إذ ستمثل تنفيذ قرار أطراف معاهدة عدم الانتشار الذي اتخذ في مؤتمر اﻷطراف في معاهدة عدم انتشار اﻷسلحة النووية لاستعراض المعاهدة وتمديدها في العام الماضي.

Recalling the principles and objectives for nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament adopted at the 1995 Review and Extension Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons,
وإذ تشير إلى مبادئ وأهداف عدم الانتشار النووي ونزع السلاح النووي التي اعتمدها مؤتمر الأطراف في معاهدة عدم انتشار الأسلحة النووية لاستعراض المعاهدة وتمديدها في عام 1995()،

The second reason relates to decision 2, adopted last year by the Review and Extension Conference of the Parties to the NPT, in which the nuclear-weapon States reaffirmed their commitment to pursuing negotiations on effective measures relating to nuclear disarmament.
والسبب الثاني يتعلق بالمقرر ٢ الذي اتخذه مؤتمر اﻷطراف في معاهدة عدم انتشــار اﻷسلحــة النوويــة لاستعراض المعاهدة وتمديدها في العام الماضي، والذي أكدت فيه الدول الحائزة لﻷسلحة النووية التزامها بمتابعة إجراء مفاوضات بشأن اتخاذ تدابير فعالة لنزع السلاح النووي.

Secondly, the draft resolution implicitly rejects the agenda on the next steps towards nuclear disarmament, which was agreed by consensus by the States parties to the Non-Proliferation Treaty at the 1995 NPT Review and Extension Conference and is contained in the principles and objectives document.
وثانيا، يرفض مشروع القرار ضمنا الخطة المتعلقة بالخطوات المقبلة نحو نزع السلاح النووي، وهي الخطة التي وافقت عليها بتوافق اﻵراء الدول الأطــراف في معاهــدة عدم الانتشــار في مؤتمر الأطراف في معاهدة عدم انتشار اﻷسلحة النووية لاستعراض المعاهدة وتمديدها في عام ١٩٩٥، وهي واردة في وثيقة المبادئ والأهداف.

The Japanese Government submitted for the first time in 1994 a draft resolution on the ultimate elimination of nuclear weapons, to demonstrate a clear commitment on the part of the majority of Member States to the elimination of nuclear weapons, and to prepare favourable ground for the NPT Review and Extension Conference the following year.

A couple of weeks later, the 1995 Review and Extension Conference of the NonProliferation Treaty, taking note, inter alia, of this pledge, indefinitely extended the Treaty.

وهذا يتماشى والفقرة ١١ من مبادئ وأهداف عدم الانتشار النووي ونزع السلاح التي اعتمدت في المؤتمر الذي عقدته الدول اﻷطراف لاستعراض المعاهدة وتمديدها في عام ١٩٩٥، وهي الفقرة التي تدعو إلى تعزيز نظام الضمانات للوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية من أجل زيادة قدرتها على كشف اﻷنشطة النووية التي لم يعلن عنها.

The world this year befittingly witnessed two other important United Nations conferences: the World Summit for Social Development in Copenhagen and the Review and Extension Conference of the States Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) in New York.
