Concern for human rights is high on Sri Lanka’s national and international agenda and will always continue to be so.

Conditions of governance in Sri Lanka show up many positive features - practice of electoral democracy, exercise of legislative and executive authority by the popularly elected, prevalence of the rule of law and all round respect for the judiciary.
وتنطوي ظروف الحكم في سري لانكا على كثير من الملامح الإيجابية، من قبيل ممارسة ديمقراطية انتخابية، واختيار الهيئات التشريعية والتنفيذية بواسطة انتخابات شعبية، وشيوع سيادة القانون والاحترام الكامل للهيئة القضائية.
