On the subject of measures taken to improve procurement activities in the field, the Advisory Committee considered that the Secretary-General should have been able to present a concrete plan in a unified, comprehensive and detailed text.

With regard to subprogramme 4, Commercial, procurement and transportation services, the Advisory Committee points out that in accordance with the provisions of General Assembly resolution 49/216 C of 23 December 1994, the Secretary-General has issued a progress report (A/C.5/49/67) containing proposals for the improvement of the procurement activities in the Secretariat.
ثامنا - ٤١ وفيما يتعلق بالبرنامج الفرعي ٤، خدمات اﻷعمال التجارية والمشتريات والنقل، تشير اللجنة الاستشارية الى أن اﻷمين العام قام، وفقا ﻷحكام قرار الجمعية العامة ٤٩/٢١٦ المؤرخ ٢٣ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٤، بإصدار تقرير مرحلي (A/C.5/49/67) يتضمن مقترحات لتحسين أنشطة الشراء في اﻷمانة العامة.
