An international training course on satellite navigation and location-based services was organized jointly by the Office for Outer Space Affairs and the Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific.

The Subcommittee noted with appreciation that a publication on performance assessment and the future of the Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific had been made available to the Subcommittee at its current session.
39- كما لاحظت اللجنة الفرعية مع الإعراب عن التقدير أنه أُتيح لها في دورتها الحالية منشور عن تقييم أداء المركز الإقليمي لتدريس علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء في آسيا والمحيط الهادئ ومستقبله.

The Committee noted that the Government of India had continuously provided strong support to the Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific since its inception in 1995, including by making the appropriate facilities and expertise available to it through the Indian Space Research Organisation and the Department of Space.
89- ولاحظت اللجنة أن حكومة الهند دأبت على تقديم دعم قوي إلى المركز الإقليمي لتدريس علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء في آسيا والمحيط الهادئ منذ إنشائه في عام 1995، ومن ذلك الدعم إتاحة ما يلزمه من مرافق وخبرات فنية من خلال المؤسسة الهندية لأبحاث الفضاء ووزارة الشؤون الفضائية.

The Subcommittee further noted that the Government of India had continuously provided strong support to the Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific since its inception in 1995, including by making the appropriate facilities and expertise available to it through ISRO and the Department of Space of India.
47- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية كذلك أن حكومة الهند دأبت باستمرار على تقديم دعم قوي للمركز الإقليمي لتدريس علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء في آسيا والمحيط الهادئ منذ إنشائه في عام 1995، بما في ذلك توفير المرافق والخبرات المناسبة لـه من خلال المؤسسة الهندية لأبحاث الفضاء وإدارة شؤون الفضاء الهندية.

(a) The Programme will continue to provide technical advisory assistance to the regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific, which was inaugurated in India in November 1995, in developing and organizing educational and training programmes in various fields of space applications.
)أ( سوف يواصل البرنامج تقديم المساعدة الاستشارية التقنية الى المركز الاقليمي لتدريس علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء في آسيا والمحيط الهادىء ، الذي دشن في الهند في تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر ٥٩٩١ ، في تطوير وتنظيم برامجه التعليمية والتدريبية في مختلف ميادين تطبيقات الفضاء الخارجي .

(c) The Government of India, through the Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific, defrayed the cost of local organization and facilities, accommodation and meals for participants and lecturers at the training course in Ahmedabad;
(ج) تولّت حكومة الهند، من خلال المركز الإقليمي لتدريس علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء في آسيا والمحيط الهادئ، تغطية تكاليف التنظيم المحلي والمرافق، والسكن والوجبات للمشاركين والمحاضرين في الدورة التدريبية التي نظّمت في أحمد آباد؛

10. Workshops conducted in the framework of the United Nations Programme on Space Applications and activities carried out at the United Nations-affiliated regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific have determined that the training of personnel competent in satellite-based communications is one of the main problems that developing countries face in establishing telecommunication infrastructures.
10- بيّنت حلقات العمل التي نظمت في إطار برنامج الأمم المتحدة للتطبيقات الفضائية والأنشطة التي أجريت في المركز الإقليمي المنتسب إلى الأمم المتحدة لتدريس علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء في آسيا والمحيط الهادئ أن تدريب موظفين مختصين في الاتصالات الساتلية هو أحد المشاكل الرئيسية التي تواجهها البلدان النامية عندما تنشئ بنية تحتية للاتصالات.
