35. The Committee welcomes the numerous initiatives taken to promote the participation of children in various domains, in particular the involvement of children in the work of the National Commission on the Rights of the Child and the creation of the " Students' Parliament " in the German community in 2005.
35- ترحّب اللجنة بالمبادرات المتعدِّدة التي اتّخذت لتعزيز مشاركة الأطفال في مختلف المجالات، لا سيما مشاركتهم في أعمال اللجنة الوطنية لحقوق الطفل واستحداث " برلمان الطلبة " في المجتمع المحلّي الألماني في عام 2005.

(a) Develop a comprehensive strategy to promote the participation of children in all spheres of life, in consultation with children, all civil society organizations, UNICEF and other relevant organizations, and allocate adequate human, technical and financial resources, as well as a monitoring mechanism.

The Committee is however concerned about the persistence of traditional attitudes in the State party which limit children's rights to express their views in decision-making procedures affecting them and about the absence of a policy and supportive mechanism to promote child participation in the State party.
