47. The Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space has established a solid and flexible mechanism to implement the recommendations of UNISPACE III. Through the consideration of agenda items that have relevance to the recommendations of UNISPACE III, the Committee and its subsidiary bodies provide overall policy guidelines for implementing the recommendations.

14. In 2000, the Committee endorsed the plan of action proposed by the Office for Outer Space Affairs to implement the recommendations of UNISPACE III. In its resolution 55/122 of 8 December 2000, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General to ensure the full implementation of the plan with the necessary resources in 2002.
14- أقرت اللجنة في عام 2000 خطة العمل التي اقترحها مكتب شؤون الفضاء الخارجي لتنفيذ توصيات اليونيسبيس الثالث.(4) وطلبت الجمعية العامة إلى الأمين العام في قرارها 55/122 المؤرخ 8 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2000 أن يكفل التنفيذ الكامل للخطة بما يلزم من الموارد في عام 2002.

In its resolution 55/122 of 8 December 2000, the General Assembly noted that the Office for Outer Space Affairs of the Secretariat had submitted to the Committee for its review at its forty-third session a plan of action to implement the recommendations of UNISPACE III. That plan of action contained a number of activities to be carried out under the Programme.
