In operative paragraph 2, the Assembly requests the specialized agencies and other bodies and programmes of the United Nations to cooperate to this end with the Secretary-General and the Executive Secretary of the CPLP.

On 28 January 2009, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Portugal, Luiz Amado, paid a two-day visit to Bissau within the framework of the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries during the presidency of Portugal.

58. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has steadily increased its assistance to the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries in recent years through cooperation agreements, particularly in the field of land tenure and land management.

On 28 June 2011, the Security Council heard statements of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and the Head of the United Nations Integrated Peacebuilding Office in Guinea-Bissau (UNIOGBIS), Joseph Mutaboba; the Minister of Defence of Guinea-Bissau, Aristides Ocante da Silva; and the current Chair of the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries, Manuel Augusto.

55. FAO has steadily increased its assistance to the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries in recent years through cooperation agreements, particularly in the field of land tenure and management.

The developments in Guinea-Bissau have also been encouraging, giving hope that the joint mediation initiatives of the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries (CPLP) and ECOWAS will lead to the restoration of peace in that country and security to the subregion.
أما التطورات في غينيا - بيســاو فكانــت مشجعة أيضا، وأحيت اﻷمل في أن تــؤدي مبــادرات الوساطة المشتركة لجماعة البلدان الناطقة بالبرتغالية والجماعة الاقتصادية لدول غرب أفريفيا إلى استعادة السلام في ذلك البلد واﻷمن في المنطقة دون اﻹقليمية.

Following consultations carried out by the Ministerial Contact Group of the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries from 24 to 26 July 1998, the Government of Guinea-Bissau and the self-proclaimed military junta, with the aim of re-establishing peace and relieving the suffering of the people, agree to the following:

The European Union commends the mediation efforts led jointly by the Contact Group of the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries (CPLP) and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), hoping that a lasting solution to the conflict in Guinea-Bissau can be reached in subsequent negotiations.
ويثني الاتحاد اﻷوروبي على جهود الوساطة التي يشترك في بذلها فريق الاتصال التابع لجماعة البلدان الناطقة بالبرتغالية والجماعة الاقتصادية لدول غرب أفريقيا، ويحدوه اﻷمل أن يتسنى إيجاد حل للصراع في غينيا - بيساو من خلال المفاوضات في مرحلة لاحقة.

Recalling its resolution 54/10 of 18 November 1999, by which it granted observer status to the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries and considered it advantageous to both the United Nations and the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries to provide for cooperation between the two organizations,

viii) The efforts made by the Executive Secretariat of the CPLP to coordinate the work needed to draw up the future CPLP Strategic Plan for Health Co-operation (PECS/CPLP) aimed at strengthening the health co-operation, particularly as regards the reinforcement of the institutional capacity of our Member States' health systems.
' 8` الجهود التي تبذلها الأمانة التنفيذية للجماعة لتنسيق العمل اللازم لوضع الخطة الاستراتيجية لجماعة البلدان الناطقة بالبرتغالية للتعاون في المجال الصحي، وهي خطة ترمي إلى تدعيم التعاون، ولا سيما فيما يتعلق بتعزيز القدرات المؤسسية للنظم الصحية في الدول الأعضاء.

In this regard, they encouraged the Member States to make financial contributions, through the Special Fund of the CPLP, to the elaboration process of the PECS/CPLP, as well as towards the implementation of the said Plan following its adoption.
وفي هذا الصدد، شجعوا الدول الأعضاء على تقديم مساهمات مالية لعملية وضع الخطة الاستراتيجية لجماعة البلدان الناطقة بالبرتغالية للتعاون في المجال الصحي، وكذلك لتنفيذ الخطة المذكورة بعد اعتمادها، وذلك عن طريق الصندوق الخاص لجماعة البلدان الناطقة بالبرتغالية.

On the International Day for the Elimination of all Forms of Violence against Women, the Portuguese Government and the Executive Secretary of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) launched a joint campaign to be replicated in all Member States of the CPLP, under the motto " I set my face against violence " .

The promotion of Portuguese as a global language and CPLP's contribution to peace, regional stability and food security were the main topics of the summit and are the main priorities of the current two-year Portuguese chairmanship of CPLP.
وكانت مواضيع نشر البرتغالية كلغة عالمية ومساهمة جماعة البلدان الناطقة بالبرتغالية في السلام، والاستقرار الإقليمي والأمن الغذائي هي المواضيع الرئيسية للقمة وتشكل الأولوية الأساسية بالنسبة للرئاسة البرتغالية الحالية لجماعة البلدان الناطقة بالبرتغالية ومدتها عامان.

The referred Declaration was approved by the Permanent Consultation Committee of CPLP, in Lisbon, on 25 November 2008.
وقد اعتمدت اللجنة الاستشارية الدائمة التابعة لجماعة البلدان الناطقة بالبرتغالية البيان المشار إليه، في لشبونه، في 25 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2008.
