The Chemical Review Committee had discussed the matter and put forward several suggestions for the booth on scientific processes under the three conventions at its meeting that had taken place the previous week, and the Persistent Organic Pollutants Review Committee was invited to do likewise.

The Secretariat shall compile the information referred to in paragraph 5 above and make it available to the Persistent Organic Pollutants Review Committee at least six weeks prior to the meetings of the Committee which will take place in the year before the seventh ordinary meeting of the Conference of the Parties and every second ordinary meeting thereafter.
7 - يجب على الأمانة أن تصنِّف المعلومات المشار إليها في الفقرة 5 أعلاه وأن تجعلها متاحة أمام لجنة استعراض الملوّثات العضوية الثابتة قبل ستة أسابيع على الأقل من انعقاد اجتماعات اللجنة، وسوف يحدث هذا في السنة قبل الاجتماع العادي السابع لمؤتمر الأطراف وكل ثاني اجتماع عادي بعد ذلك.

After the evaluation of the risk profiles by the Persistent Organic Pollutants Review Committee (POPRC) at its third meeting in November 2007 the Committee concluded that alpha-HCH and beta-HCH are likely, as a result of their long range environmental transport, to lead to significant adverse human health and environmental effects such that global action is warranted.
وبعد أن قامت لجنة استعراض الملوّثات العضوية الثابتة بتقييم بيان المخاطر خلال اجتماعها الثالث في تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2007، خلصت إلى أن ماتي سداسي كلور حلقي الهكسان ألفا وبيتا قد يكون لهما، نتيجة لانتقالهما بعيد المدى في البيئة، تأثيرات معاكسة كبيرة على صحة البشر والبيئة مما يبرر اتخاذ إجراء عالمي بشأنهما.
