As a preliminary response to General Assembly resolution 46/185 B, a note 1/ on the procedures and norms for the creation, suppression, reclassification, conversion and redeployment of posts was submitted to the General Assembly at its forty-seventh session, through the Committee for Programme and Coordination (CPC) and the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions (ACABQ).
١ - قدمت الى الجمعية العامة في دورتها السابعة واﻷربعين عن طريق لجنة البرنامج والتنسيق واللجنة الاستشارية لشؤون اﻹدارة والميزانية مذكرة)١( بشأن اﻹجراءات والمعايير ﻹنشاء الوظائف وإلغائها وإعادة تصنيفها وتحويلها وإعادة توزيعها، بوصف ذلك استجابة أولية لقرار الجمعية العامة ٤٦/١٨٥ باء.

7. In compliance with that requirement, the Secretary-General submitted his first programme budget outline for the biennium 1990-1991 to the General Assembly at its forty-third session in 1988, through CPC and the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions (A/43/524).
