The Secretary-General has the honour to transmit herewith the joint statement of the Administrative Committee on Coordination to the General Assembly at its twentieth special session.
يتشرف اﻷمين العام بأن يحيل رفق هذا البيان المشترك الذي أصدرته لجنة التنسيق اﻹدارية إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها الاستثنائية العشرين.

The Council invited the Administrative Committee on Coordination to bring system-wide coordination issues to the attention of the Council and to make recommendations thereon.
ودعا المجلس لجنة التنسيق اﻹدارية إلى أن تعرض على المجلس المسائل المتصلة بالتنسيق على نطاق المنظومة، وأن تتقدم بتوصيات بشأنها.

The related comments of the Administrative Committee on Coordination were transmitted to the General Assembly in document A/50/721/Add.1.

JUNIC decided to bring to the attention of ACC the continuing precarious financial situation of the Service and requested it to give this matter its urgent consideration.

The Inter-Agency Committee on Women and Gender Equality highlighted the issue of gender-sensitive budgeting in drawing the attention of ACC to the need for assessing programme budgets and budget codes in order to determine what resources go into gender mainstreaming.
٦٢ - وأكدت اللجنة المشتركة بين الوكالات المعنية بالمرأة والمساواة بين الجنسين على مسألة وضع ميزانية تراعي الفروق بين الجنسين وذلك بتوجيه انتباه لجنة التنسيق اﻹدارية إلى ضرورة تقييم الميزانيات البرنامجية وقوانين الميزانية بهدف تحديد نوعية الموارد التي ينبغي أن تخصص لدمج منظور نوع الجنس في اﻷنشطة الرئيسية.

The results of this work were brought to the attention of the Assembly in the statement by ACC to the Assembly at its nineteenth special session (A/S-19/6, annex).
وقد وجه اهتمام الجمعية العامة إلى نتائج هذا العمل في البيان الذي قدمته لجنة التنسيق اﻹدارية إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها الاستثنائية التاسعة عشر A/S-19/6)، المرفق(.

8. Invites the Administrative Committee on Coordination to continue to discuss the implications of the Vienna Declaration and Programme of Action for the United Nations system, with the participation of the High Commissioner;
٨ - تدعو لجنة التنسيق اﻹدارية إلى أن تواصل مناقشة اﻵثار المترتبة على إعلان وبرنامج عمل فيينا بالنسبة لمنظومة اﻷمم المتحدة، بمشاركة المفوض السامي؛

The Committee also notes that there is no system-wide picture of the state of preparedness of the members of the United Nations system with regard to the year 2000 compliance issue, and requests the Secretary-General to draw the attention of the members of the Administrative Committee on Coordination to this need.
وتلاحظ اللجنة أيضا أن ثمة افتقارا إلى صورة شاملة للمنظومة عن حالة استعداد اﻷعضاء في منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة فيما يتعلق بمسألة التوافق مع عام ٢٠٠٠، وتطلب إلى اﻷمين العام أن يوجه انتباه أعضاء لجنة التنسيق اﻹدارية إلى هذه الحاجة.

4. Further invites the Administrative Committee on Coordination to consider specific areas to enhance system-wide coordination in the themes identified for the coordination segment of the Council and to bring system-wide coordination issues to the attention of the Council and to make recommendations thereon;
٤ - يدعو كذلك لجنة التنسيق اﻹدارية إلى النظر في مجالات محددة لتعزيز التنسيق على نطاق المنظومة بشأن المواضيع المحددة للجزء المتعلق بالتنسيق من دورة المجلس، وإلى توجيه اهتمام المجلس إلى المسائل المتعلقة بالتنسيق على نطاق المنظومة، وتقديم توصيات بشأنها؛

8. Invites the Administrative Committee on Coordination to continue to discuss the implications of the Vienna Declaration and Programme of Action for the United Nations system, with the participation of the High Commissioner;
٨ - تدعو لجنة التنسيق اﻹدارية إلى أن تواصل مناقشة اﻵثار المترتبة على إعلان وبرنامج عمل فيينا بالنسبة لمنظومة اﻷمم المتحدة، على أن يشارك في ذلك المفوض السامي؛

4. Invites the Administrative Committee on Coordination to consider specific areas to enhance system-wide coordination in the themes identified for the coordination segment of the Council and to bring system-wide coordination issues to the attention of the Council and to make recommendations thereon;
٤ - يدعو لجنة التنسيق اﻹدارية إلى النظر في مجالات محددة لتعزيز التنسيق على نطاق المنظومة بشأن المواضيع المحددة للجزء المتعلق بالتنسيق من دورة المجلس، وإلى توجيه اهتمام المجلس إلى المسائل المتعلقة بالتنسيق على نطاق المنظومة، وتقديم توصيات بشأنها؛

9. Invites the Administrative Committee on Coordination to continue to discuss the implications of the Vienna Declaration and Programme of Action for the United Nations system, with the participation of the High Commissioner, in particular in the context of the preparations for the 1998 five-year review;
٩ - تدعـو لجنة التنسيق اﻹدارية إلى أن تواصل مناقشة اﻵثار المترتبة على إعلان وبرنامج عمل فيينا بالنسبة لمنظومة اﻷمم المتحدة، بمشاركة المفوضة السامية، وخاصة في سياق اﻷعمال التحضيرية للاستعراض الخمسي لعام ١٩٩٨؛

The Assembly also invited the Administrative Committee on Coordination, within its mandate, to examine how to improve coordination within the United Nations system on the question of violence against women migrant workers.
ودعت الجمعية أيضا لجنة التنسيق اﻹدارية إلى أن تدرس، في حدود ولايتها، الطرق الكفيلة بتحسين التنسيق داخل منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة بشأن مسألة العنف الموجه ضد العاملات المهاجرات.

JUNIC brought to the attention of ACC the continuing precarious funding situation of NGLS, and requested it to give this matter an urgent consideration (see ACC/1998/11, para. 13 (c)).
ووجهت لجنة اﻹعلام المشتركة لﻷمم المتحدة انتباه لجنة التنسيق اﻹدارية إلى الحالة المتردية المستمرة لتمويل دائرة الاتصال للمنظمــات غيــر الحكومية وطلبت الاهتمام بالمسألة على سبيل الاستعجال )انظر A/AC.1998/11، الفقرة ١٣ )ج((.
