106. In paragraph 28 of its resolution 53/208 B of 18 December 1998, the General Assembly encouraged the Secretariat to continue its efforts to ensure effective linguistic quality control through to the final stage of document production and distribution and to report to the Committee on Conferences on the steps taken in that regard.

In its resolution 63/248, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General to report to it at its sixty-fourth session, through the Committee on Conferences, on a number of issues relating to conference management.
