كما طلبت الجمعية العامة إلى كل لجنة من اللجان الفنية أن تدرس أساليب عملها لكي يتسنى لها تحسين متابعتها لتنفيذ نتائج المؤتمرات الرئيسية ومؤتمرات القمة التي تعقدها الأمم المتحدة.

In that resolution, the Assembly had requested each functional commission to examine its methods of work, on the basis of a report with recommendations to be submitted by the Secretary-General to each functional commission in 2005, in order to better pursue the implementation of the outcomes of the major United Nations conferences and summits.
وفـي هذا القرار طلبت الجمعية العامة إلى كل لجنة من اللجان الفنية أن تدرس أساليب عملها، على أساس تقرير مشفوع بتوصيات يقدمه الأمين العام إلى كل لجنة فنية في موعد لا يتجاوز عام 2005، لكي يتسنى لها تحسين متابعتها لتنفيذ نتائج المؤتمرات الرئيسية ومؤتمرات القمة التي تعقدها الأمم المتحدة.

The Assembly further requested each functional commission to examine its methods of work in order to better pursue the implementation of the outcomes of the major United Nations conferences and summits, bearing in mind the progress recently achieved in this regard by certain commissions, especially the Commission on Sustainable Development.
وطلبت الجمعية كذلك إلى كل لجنة من اللجان الفنية أن تدرس أساليب عملها لكي يتسنى لها تحسين متابعتها لتنفيذ نتائج المؤتمرات الرئيسية ومؤتمرات القمة التي تعقدها الأمم المتحدة، مع مراعاة التقدم الذي أحرزته مؤخرا في هذا الصدد بعض اللجان، وبخاصة لجنة التنمية المستدامة.

1. The Economic and Social Council, in its resolution 2003/6 of 16 July 2003, had requested each functional commission to examine its methods of work in order to better pursue the implementation of the outcomes of the major United Nations conferences and summits.

1. In its resolution 2003/6, the Economic and Social Council decided to take the necessary steps to implement the provisions of paragraph 46 of General Assembly resolution 57/270 B, in which the Assembly had requested each functional commission to examine its methods of work in order to better pursue the implementation of the outcomes of the major United Nations conferences and summits.
